Q1) The right diet to stay away from Osteoarthritis?

ANS- Adding more of whole fruits and vegetables to your diet will help as they are full of antioxidants which can delay or even repair of tissues damage happen in osteoarthritis. Cherries, avocado spinach, beets ,broccoli to name a few. Replace butter or other cooking oils with Olive oil ,it has compound called oleuropein which acts as pain reliever. Eat more sources of omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin c rich food to reduce inflammation.

Q2) What exercises one should do to keep it away?

ANS- Exercises may be the last thing you feel like doing when you’re hurting but by doing general forms of yoga and some low impact exercises like walking ,swimming or biking for 30 minutes in a day can keep your joints smoother and flexible. Talk to your doctor before getting started and listen to your body. 

Q3) What are the basic things to keep in mind while WFH to avoid this problem ?

ANS- Healthy lifestyle will make a difference .Cut calories by eating fewer sugary or fried foods to help lose extra weight .Your joints will work better without the unneeded weight. It’s all about stocking your kitchen with foods that will help you fight
osteoarthritis naturally. Proper standing sitting, and walking posture will help. Try doing simple chair yoga poses like spinal twist, mountain pose, half moon pose, stick pose etc. The most important is to move your body as much as possible. Avoid sitting at the same place for a long time.

Q4) Any particular body posture recommended?

ANS- When you are standing, sitting or biking keep your head, shoulders, and hips level straight and facing forward. Try to keep your spine straight. Put the least amount of stress on your muscles and ligaments while any weight-bearing activity. The most important is to move your body as much as possible.
